Day 1 – 75 Hard Phase 1 – We Are Back at It

In 2024 I did my first 75 hard and finished all the phases to round out the live hard year. It was very transformational for me. Not just in physical but more in my mentals. Now every year I want to always do 75 hard because it helps me lock in and focus. It brings me back to baseline with my habits and disciplines.

This year I started a new round of 75 hard in March which ended in May 31st. I was actually also training for a marathon so this was perfect timing (helped me dial in my eating habits and ate cleaner).

I’ve been welcoming different challenges to achieve and this October I will be turning 43. I decided I want to do a birthday run the day before my birthday because why not. After the rock and roll marathon in June I’ve kept my running base at a pretty decent spot because I didn’t want to lose it. But after deciding on running 43 miles I knew I needed to ramp up my mileage and train. I’ve been trainining for these miles for the past few months but just like what I did for the June marathon I wanted to lock in deeper.

What better way than to do phase 1 for 30 days before my run!?!?

Since today is Day 1 I wanted to quickly summarize what I’ll be doing for 30 days

Below are the 75 Hard Rules you must follow, if any of these are broken you start back on day 1

  1. 2 45 Minute Workouts
    • One MUST be outdoors
  2. Take A Progress Picture
  3. Ready 10 Pages
  4. Drink 1 Gallon of Water
  5. Follow A Diet
    • Since I’m training for endurance my diet this time around consist of hitting my daily protein goal of 200 grams
  6. No Cheat Meals Or Alcohol

These Next 3 are the new things that were added for Phase 1

  1. 5 Minute Cold Shower
  2. 3 Additional power list critical task
    • I opted for 1 MIT (most important task) for my business for at least 30 minutes daily
    • Creating content daily (like this blog post)
    • Tracking at least 5 Activities daily
      • I use a daily tracker for my business or personal items
  3. 10 Minutes of Dedicated Visualization

Most of these are already do to some capacity but it’s having to do them everyday without fail. There will be days that I’ll be excited like today. Days where I don’t want to do it but those are the days I have to dig deeper because I know what the mental benefits will be for me in the long run.

Keeping this short but I will be posting a little bit more on here to hold myself accountable for the 30 days of content.
