Day 6 – In the groove

August 6th, 2023

8 am

Initially woke up before my 6 am alarm to give myself ample rest. Since today is mostly cardio and mobility I wanted to give my body rest. Feeling rested and strong overall. Hitting the gym in this am for a quick bike ride and some stretching.

Follow a Diet

Below is what I ate today:

  • Post Workout
    • Shake – 1 Scoop of Optimum Nutrition Whey
  • Breakfast
  • Lunch
    • Breakfast Burrito with 3 eggs, 4 sausage links
  • Dinner
    • Southwest Salad
    • 2 scoops of rice
    • 8 oz Tri Tip

2 workouts of at least 45 Minutes (one must be outside):

  1. Workout # 1 9:14 am
    • Bike
      • 30 minutes
    • Stretch
      • 30 minutes with 20 in the sauna
  2. Workout # 2 4:04 pm
    • 2 Mile Walk

1 Gallon of Water

Completed at 8:17 pm

Read at least 10 pages

Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind

Summary of what I read today:

  • Utilizing Mission statements
    • Creating a personal mission statement is something that you can’t necessarily come up with in a day or two. It could take weeks and sometimes even months. But by having a mission statement you are essentially giving yourself a true north on what you’re after. The book used great companies that took the company mission statements to heart.

Day 6 Reflection:


  • Get your task done as early as possible. Don’t push things off to later on as there will be days that you have no control over.
