5:23 am
Woke up right at 5 from my alarm this morning. Slept well at almost 7 hours of sleep. Definitely slept more than the previous day. Kind of feeling a little groggy this morning but this usually goes away as I go about my day. Welcome to Day 2, lets get after it!

“7 Habits of Highly Effective People”
Habit 1: Be Proactive
Summary of what I read today:
- You can have proactive focus or reactive focus
- Proactive focus
- Focus their efforts on the circle of influence. They work on things they can do something about. The energy is positive
- Reactive focus
- Focus their efforts on the circle of concern. They focus on the weakness of other people, problems in the environment, and circumstances on which they have no control. Focused on blaming and accusing which results in negative energy.
- Proactive focus
- Problems we face fall in 3 areas:
- Direct Control – problems involving our own behavior
- Indirect Control – problems involving other people’s behavior
- No Control – problems we can do nothing about
Day 2 Reflection:
Takeaway:
- You have always have a choice in what you do. You didn’t get to where you are in life by accident. Where you are now, whether good or bad, is a sum of all the decisions you have made up to this point. You decide to be proactive – do something about it or reactive – be forced to act.
